More Birchbox Problems?! January 2013

Hello beauties!! This was my first birch box of the year. The last couple of months I have had problems with my birch box either getting lost, or finger prints in my samples.I figured this year would be a fresh and hopefully exciting start.

Let me start off by saying that there are only 4 samples in this picture above, when there should be 5. This box is missing the Nicole by Nicole Richie perfume. (The item towards the back is just a poster)

This is the first time a box of mine was missing a sample. As a regular paid customer, I expect to get everything that was intended for me. Not happy about the missing item!

This is the Dry Styling Heat Protectant Spray by Oscar Blandi. The little spray bottle is adorable, but it smells like those lemon cleaners that you use to clean wood surfaces. I applied this to my damp hair and it made it sticky and crunchy....No Bueno!
The next item is the Lait- Creme Concentrate - 24 Hour Miracle Cream by Embryolisse. It's a fairly small sample. This is supposed to heal dryness and prep the skin for foundation.
This is something I was going to use my Birchbox points to purchase! This is the Skinny Liquid Eyeliner by Eyeko. It has a nice and precise felt tip. This liner lasts ALL day and does not smudge!! I love how quickly I can create a classic cat eye look. I am extremely happy about this, especially since this retails for $15
The last item in my box is again by Oscar Blandi. It's the Pronto Wet Instant Volumizing Shampoo & Conditioner. It is sulfate and paraben free. I was very surprised that the shampoo didn't dry my hair out. As I was washing it out, my hair felt silky smooth! The conditioner was great as well, but there wasn't enough product for all the hair I have.

That's it for the items in my box. If it wasn't for the Eyeko eyeliner, I would be 100% unhappy with this box. The other items don't excite me, and I was very unhappy that I had to contact Birchbox about another issue. They told me they are going to send out a replacement for the Nicole Richie Fragrance. So hopefully it is worth the wait.

2012 Favorites

Hello beauties!! 2012 was an amazing year, and I wanted to share some of my favorite things from the year! This post is going up a little late, but I figure better late than never :) These favorites are not just beauty related. It's more of my yearly favorites in general ^_^
I can't NOT mention the show that has taken over my life, The Vampire Diaries. I am so obsessed with this show....team Damon ;)
Speaking of obsessions, I became absolutely OBSESSED with the Fifty Shades trilogy. It's one of those books you either love or hate, and boy do I LOVE it!!!! I also had to mention my favorite store - Fresh & Easy. They have an awesome rewards program, and I go 95% of my gluten free shopping there :)
I bought these beautiful sapphire Mickey stud earrings from Groupon. I love them because sapphire is my birthstone, and these studs really stand out! Of course we know how Disney obsessed I am!
Speaking of Disney, I got these beautiful Mickey bracelets from Disneyland for my birthday! They must be sized for kids because they fit my tiny wrists perfectly ^_^
I love how statement necklaces can transform a look instantly. These two were my absolute favorite necklaces. The gold/bronze flower necklace is from Forever 21, and it was less than $5! The necklace on the right is from Jewelmint. I just love the antique look of this piece! Stunning
This Chanel inspired Hello Kitty purse was my best buddy! I wore this beauty all year long. I love when Hello Kitty can merge with a chic style that I can wear on a regular basis!
I bought this top coat from Sally Beauty Supply. It dries pretty quickly and it really does make my manicure last much longer! This was also only a few bucks :)
Like many girls, I rave about this heat protectant from Treseme! I have been using this for years now and it's the only heat protectant I buy. It smells great and it's light weight!
I love this facial moisturizer by Clean & Clear because it doesn't irritate my face. It also lasts for a long time! I bought this months ago, and I use it twice a day and I still have a lot. The item on the far left is by Smashbox and it's the Brow Tech To Go in brunette. It's a crayon brow filler and it's amazing! It lasts a long time as well. The item on the bottom is by e.l.f. and it's the Mineralizing Mascara. It's only $3 and it's a total dupe for Maybelline's Define-A-Lash. The brush is the Powder Brush by e.l.f. It is so soft, and it makes blending making so easy and fast! I highly recommend this brush to everyone.
The e.l.f. Eyelid Primer is a MUST HAVE. It's only a dollar!!! A little goes a long way and your eyeshadow will last the WHOLE DAY! The Hot Mama blush/eyeshadow is the best. I use this all the time as a blush and it gives me a nice, healthy and natural looking glow! I also fell in love with the Tarte lip stain in the color Joy. It's a beautiful coral color that goes great with my skin tone. Apply it twice and it stains the lips for the whole day. Last but not least is my beautiful Naked palette by Urban Decay! This is pretty much the only palette I use on a regular basis. The quality is AMAZING and the neutral colors are perfect for my makeup styles!

So that's it for my 2012 Favorites post! If you haven't watch my latest video about these items, please feel free to watch it here:

Thank you so much for the support!! I look forward to the next yearly favorites video! 'Til next time loves, MUAH!

Casual Fashion Haul

Hey loves!! I wanted to admit that I have a major problem: an obsession with buying dresses! I end up buying more dressy clothes than casual clothes, which is silly because my everyday wear is very casual. So like most girls, I end up walking into my closet and I say, "I have nothing to wear!" So this time I made a promise to myself that I would only buy casual clothing on this shopping spree, and that meant NO DRESSES! Let's see what I got! The first store I went to was Ross baby!
I got this basic top for about $5.99. I loved the color, and I have a life-long obsession with striped t-shirts. For me, this was perfect for my everyday wear.
Speaking of stripes, I got this fun top. It's shorter in the front, and longer in the back.
The back is what made me buy this top. I love the button detail! It's just a fun little surprise in the back. This was only $10.99

Next place I went to was Marshall's!

I picked up this ivory top, with 3/4 lace sleeves. I looooove lace. Lace is just so feminine and classic. Pairing this top up with a statement necklace can instantly make this look go glam. This was $13.99
This is an up close view of the lace. So cute, right?!
I loved the top so much that I got it in this blush color as well.
LOVE LOVE lace!!
I also picked up this houndstooth printed cardigan. This will look great with jeans and a basic white or black top. This was $14.99

Last place I went to was Rhapsodielle!

I bought this adorable graphic tank top for only $6!! I love the gold foil print on this tank top, and it's just so cute and sweet! I thought this would also be fun to workout in.
Next thing I got was this kind of baseball style top. I love the zig zag print because it reminded me of Charlie Brown ^_^ This was only $8
The last item I bought was this sophisticated black lace cardigan. What I love about this is the back is fully sheer with lace. Wearing this with a black dress will make the look sexy and classy! This was only $13!

So that's it for my casual fashion haul. I hope you guys enjoyed it. And remember, you can always hop on a budget! If you haven't seen my latest video about this clothing haul, please feel free to watch it here!

My Birchbox Got LOST

Hello beauties!! A late but Happy New Year to you all!! This is my first blog post of the year, and there will be many more to come :) So I hadn't made a blog post or video last month about the December Birchbox because my Birchbox got lost!! I was never able to track my box, and I had to report it and request a new one. I was hoping that the last box of the year and the long wait would be worth it. Will it live up to my expectations? Let's find out!
December's theme was a holiday box. I love the little gift tag it came with.
This is the Obliphica Nourishing Mask by amika. It's a hair mask packed with omega acids and vitamin C that is supposed to help boost hair shine and help repair split ends.
This is the Measurable Difference Lash Gel Serum by Lashem. This can be used for the lashes and the eyebrows and is supposed to be irritation free. I'm interested in trying this out on my brows, but I am hesitant on trying this out on my lashes just from fear. I will try them for both uses though for the purpose of reviewing.
This was a LIFESTYLE EXTRA from Birchbox and it's by Chuao Chocolatier. It's a mini chocolate bar with toasted breadcrumbs, dusted with sea salt. Unfortunately I can't eat this because this has wheat in it. I gave it to my friend and he said it was delicious!
This looks like a candy, but it's actually just the packaging for perfume. This is the Shimmer Fragrance by Aerie. It has a blend of bergamot, peony, and vanilla. I don't like the scent very much because it reminds me of white musk - which I don't like.
The last thing in this box is the Mary-Lou Manizer by theBalm cosmetics. It's a three-in-one highlighter, eyeshadow, and all-over shimmer. I was really excited at first, until I noticed there was a finger print on it!! I'm going to just wipe off the top, but I'm still upset that I got a tampered sample.

Overall, this box did NOT live up to my expectations for December or for my very long wait. I am impressed with how Birchbox handled my situation, but it is still an inconvenience that the box got lost in the first place. This box is definitely one of my least favorite boxes I have gotten, and the finger print really didn't help the situation :(
