Mini Review: Not Your Mother's

Hello beauties! I haven't done a mini review in a hot minute, so today I wanted to share a product I've been testing out. I'll be talking about Not Your Mother's Smooth Moves Frizz Control Hair Cream. I was lucky enough to be sent this product from Influenster. It was sent to me complimentary for the purpose of reviewing. Even though I was sent this product, I will give you my complete and honest opinion.

So this is a hair cream that is meant to tame those frizzes. I  always have frizzy hair, especially when it's in its curly and natural state. This hair cream is infused with coconut and silk extracts. The way you use this cream is to apply it on damp, towel dried hair. Then you are able to blow dry your hair to lock in the sleek and straight locks. I don't blow dry my hair, so I let my hair air dry and then I use my flat iron. It didn't make my straightener smoke, which I was surprised at. The formula is think and a little sticky - but not too much. It definitely has a nice scent of coconut. Even though the formula is thick, it's not heavy on my hair. Keep in mind that I do have very thick and full hair, so weight isn't usually an issue with me. My hair did stay sleek, but it's usually like that anyway after I straighten it. I have used it a few times  to just tame my frizzies while my hair is up in a high bun. It has a very wet feeling when applied to dry hair. It's also makes my hair feel very soft after I've applied it. While it does help slick my hair, it doesn't keep all of the little hairs down.

Overall, this was a really great product to try. I've enjoyed testing it, but I can't say that I'm 100% wowed by it. I don't notice too much of a significant difference, especially with the fact that I already use a heat protectant when using a hot tool on my hair. For me, I don't think it would be a very useful product, just for the fact that I also don't blow-dry my hair. I hope this mini review helped, and feel free to ask me any questions!

Thank you so much for the support! 'Til next time loves, MUAH!
