Beauty Blogger VoxBox!

Hellooooo beautiful people :) I am more than excited to be back with an Influenster VoxBox! This is my third VoxBox, and it's the Beauty Blogger VoxBox. You guys know I love beauty products, and I love blogging! So I was more than thrilled to receive this complimentary box for the purpose of reviewing from Influenster! If you didn't know, Influenster has re-launched their website. The big thing is that all of the Influenster members now have a score from 1-100, based on activity. The more you post, share, review, answer questions, complete surveys, etc - the higher your score goes! With all the new activities added, increasing your score is fun and easy! You want to be as high of a number as possible, because it will increase your chance for receiving a VoxBox or other programs! Now that I've updated you, let's jump into the box!
Oooo La La!
The first product is by EBOOST, and these are effervescent powders. By simply adding this packet to water, you'll get a dose of essential vitamins for immunity and energy. Best of all, there's no crash. This is in the flavor orange. A pack of 20 retails for about $28, a pack of 30 is $39, and a box of 12 shots is $39 also. Unfortunately, I couldn't test this out because it has a few punctures in it. I didn't want to risk it just for the sake of reviewing.
Second product is by Not Your Mother's. This is the Frizz Control Hair Cream. It's infused with silk and coconut extracts. You would simply apply a blob full onto your damp hair, and then proceed to blow dry. This is definitely a product I could use because my hair gets really frizzy.
I was way too excited over this! This is the Pumpkin Cupcake mini candle from none other than Bath & Body Works!! Like many girls, I LOVE candles. This one is perfect for Fall!! It just smells so amazing and gets me in the mood for the holiday season! The mini candle retails for $3.50. Bath & Body Works was also kind enough to send us a coupon for $10 off a 3-wick candle!! What could be better?!
Next we have the Simple Styles Spin Pin by Goody. Instead of using a bunch of bobby pins for bun hairstyles, using just these two is supposed to do the job! I happen to love bun hairstyles since they're quick and easy, so I hope these spin pins work for me! This pack retails for about $7.29.
Yaaaay makeup!!! This palette is by NYC (New York Color) and it's the IndividualEyes Custom Compact.
This is the 938 Union Square palette, made specifically for those who have brown eyes. As you can see, it even gives you suggestions on where to use the colors. I really love the purple color. It's a beautiful plum color that I'm excited to play with, and I think it'll go great with my eye color.
I did do swatches of all four colors, just to give you an idea of the pigmentation. The shadows were very smooth, but they do seem rather thin. I wouldn't say they were super pigmented. I think to achieve more of a dramatic look with the plum color, it'll be best to layer on the color.
Last but not least, this is the Ever Pro Lashes Starter Kit by Kiss. This kit is intended to be used by eyelash noobs, such as myself. It's in the style 05, and it comes with the lash applicator and glue also.
It comes with 3 simple steps on the back. I love the full eyelash look that these lashes give. It doesn't appear to be as too much, since I always opt for my natural lashes anyways. These lashes are made from 100% human hair, so it will look very realistic. I never use false lashes since my own eyelashes are pretty long, but I am excited to use these for those special glam nights out with the girls!!

Overall, I'm more than happy with this box. I feel so thankful to Influenster and these brands for giving me the opportunity to review these products for free. My favorite products in this box are the Kiss lashes, the NYC palette, and of course the Pumpkin Cupcake mini candle!

Feel free to check back here, as I will be updating this as I continue to test these products out and form an opinion. If you haven't seen my Beauty Blogger VoxBox video on YouTube, please feel free to watch it here!

October Birchbox: Got goop?

Hello lovelies!! It's Birchbox time yay! This time, Birchbox has teamed up with GOOP. Goop is this fun website that has recommendations for food, travel, fashion, literature - you name it! Birchbox and Goop worked together to pick out products that were essential for fall. Let's hop right into it!
First, we have this body oil from Marie Veronique Organics. It's meant to replenish the skin, and can go all over the body. It had an interesting scent, and it was very moisturizing. I doubt it's a product I'll fall in love with, but it's interesting.
Next, I was excited to see this Lemon Zest nutrition bar from Luna. At first I thought it tasted good...then ok...then I hated it. It left a weird after taste in my mouth. This won't be something I'll purchase.
I was ecstatic to see this beautiful polish in my box! Of course it's by Essie, and it's in the color "carry on." I love the dark and rich purple, almost with a hint of brown. It is absolutely perfect for Fall, even though I know I'd wear it all year long! After applying this polish, I noticed it just takes a good two coats to complete the opaque look. However, it does look darker on the nail than in the bottle. On the nail, it looks more like a deep dark purple - almost black. I don't mind it though! It's totally gorgeous!!
This is the Daily Serum by Joanna Vargas. It's meant to brighten up the skin, using vitamins A, C, and E. I wasn't too enthused to try it out. It was green in color, and very silky. Much to my surprise, it felt so smooth going on my skin. I applied it after I cleansed my face, and before I put on my daily moisturizer. I did also notice that my face seemed to be less oily throughout the day. I wish I had a bigger sample to be able to test this longer though.
Last but not least, something for my lips! This the Lip Balm Flights by Sprout. It's an all natural cocoa lip balm. I happen to be in love with cocoa moisturizers. In fact, I only use cocoa butter to moisturize my skin, So the fact that I can use this on my lips is perfect! It smells so good and it's very moisturizing on my lips. The moisture actually does last!

So those were my products for the month! I was expecting a little more pizazz, especially since this was October. However, I'm happy alone with the Essie nail polish!

OOTD: Cap Toes & Cut Outs

Hey beauties!! I'm back with my favorite kind of post, a fashion post! I think fashion videos are my favorite to make! This was my look for today. I wanted to be casual since I was attending class, but I still wanted to have some style. This is an easy go-to type of look for me that I love.
I got this sheer black collared blouse from TjMaxx for $14.99. It's just so sophisticated!
This is one of the main reason I bought it. I absolutely love the cut out with the tan lines. It's the perfect little peek a boo. Taking a nod from Carrie Bradshaw, a little peek-a-boo bra is ok :)
These are my favorite jean leggings from Express. The color is amazing and is so versatile!
I kept my accessories pretty minimal, all from Forever 21.
I featured these shoes in my last blog, I got these cap toe flats from Cotton on for only $5! They have a little tiny heal for support, and they are so comfy!
For my eyes, I did a brown smokey eye. I mostly used my Naked palette and Elf eye liner and mascara.
Hope you enjoyed this! If you haven't seen my latest video, please watch it here!

Talk About A Steal!

Well Howdy! You guys know I love a good deal. I believe that fashion can always be affordable. Ladies have a much easier time shopping for more items with less money than males do, because we have so many options out there. While I do believe that it's totally cool to splurge more on staple pieces for an investment in your wardrobe, sometimes a girl just needs to nab some great deals! Who doesn't love to save, right? With that being said, I wanted to share my latest shoe purchases. I had been looking for decent flats lately, but I didn't want to pay a lot for them. Call me cheap, if you will :) I just so happened to stumble upon these fabulous flats for cheap and then cheaper! Let's break it down.

I nabbed these babies from none other than Ross. Normally, I have a really hard time shoe shopping at Ross because my size is always bare. I happened to go at the right time to find these sparkling beauties! They were only $12.99, so I HAD to get them.
What I love about the shoes is the material. It sparkles in the sun, but it doesn't have glitter on it. The shiny and intricate weaving of the plastic threads gives it the shiny/shimmering illusion. These flats can be dressed up or dressed down, perfect for many looks.

I nabbed these babies on my first visit to Cotton On. My good friend Mamaloveee was raving about this place, because she got a bunch of clothes there for dirt cheap. When I checked out the shoe section to scope out the flats, my jaw literally dropped when I saw the tag read "$5.00." What?? $5?? This has to be a mistake.

We've all been seeing the cap-toe trend for quite some time. In fact, it has been around in fashion in the past. Now, I've been on the fence about the cap-toe. Mainly because I've seen it on pointy toe stilettos, and I'm not a huge fan of pointy-toed stilettos. On this shoe, I love it because of the round tip. I also love the black on black. The shiny black cap-toe on the faux leather flat is subtle, but sophisticated. For only $5, how could I NOT get it??

These babies are also from Cotton On. These cream colored flats are basic, but can be worn with so many colors. I love the cheetah print on the inside! BUT when I went to checkout, these flats rang up to ONLY $2!!!! I could not believe that. If that isn't a steal, I don't know what is then.

I do also want to add that if you're not used to wearing flats, there are a few things I'd recommend. First, if you know you are going to be walking around for hours at a time, I wouldn't recommend wearing ballet flats. Because they are so tight on the feet to fit and stay in place, your skin is constantly rubbing on the inside of the shoe. The back of our heels are very sensitive, and can bruise or even scab if these shoes are worn for long periods of time. Trust me, I know from experience! Also, I'd buy the Dr. Scholl's tape for the inside of the shoe. Place a strip right where the back of your foot would rub. Using a bandaid on your feet before you put on the shoe might even help prevent irritation. However, putting a bandaid on after bruising and then wearing the flats will not help much. At the point, you'll just need to give the ballet flats a break for a few days. I thought I'd add those points, since that's something ladies don't really talk about. It happens a lot though! I hope that helps :)

You just might see one of these babies featured in an outfit look soon! 'Til next time loves, MUAH!

Jewelmint x 2!

Hey beauties :) Not too long ago I made a post about my first Jewelmint purchase. To me, Jewelmint was a bit pricey for $29.99 a month, even though they do have the option for you to skip months. I bought a bracelet to that was on sale to test out whether I thought the price was worth it in the long run. I immediately loved the bracelet and wore it all the time. Unfortunately, it didn't take long for the tarnish to appear, and the gold plating starting rubbing off :( I still wear it, but eventually I won't be able to. That really bums me out! So that brings me to September. I had all these awesome celebrations going on with my birthday in the beginning of the month, that I totally forgot to "skip" September. So, my credit card got charged the $29.99. I figured I'd save the credit for a rainy day, until I got an email from Jewelmint saying they were having a two day sale for "Buy two for the price of one." I had to snag this deal. So these are the pieces I got!

This is the Timeless Cuff. It's a really beautiful dark brunswick green color. The gold plated piece is supposed to resemble a watch, but without the time.

I was surprised that the faux leather is a bit flimsy and thin. However, I do think this is a really interesting piece and the color will be perfect for fall and winter outfits.
This has to be my favorite Jewelmint piece that I own!
This Baroque Bloom Necklace is vintage inspired. I love vintage jewelry, so this was a must have for me. I love the dark metal and femininity of this necklace. I also love the two dark brown/transparent beads, as well as the pink accent stones.
This type of statement necklace looks great on either bare skin or over the fabric of a blouse. It adds instant vintage glamour to any look.

Overall, I still think a lot of Jewelmint pieces are a bit pricey, especially for the quality. However, the packaging is always superb and the pieces tend to be unique. My best advice is to watch out for their specials from their emails. A lot of the times they'll have items on sale, or they'll sell you two or more for a bis discount. Sometimes they even throw in a limited edition gift, which you cannot buy from their website. I hope that helps!! If you haven't seen my latest video, please watch it here!
