Jet Set - June Birchbox - Love or Hate?

Hey beauties! I'm back with another Birchbox :) I was very excited to film this month's box because I just got a new camcorder<3 Finally, I can show my products up close in the videos without all getting blurry and Weird! This month's theme was "Jet Set." The box was intended to have products that are perfect to add to your travel necessities. Do you think I loved this box, or hated it? Let's check out the pics below to find out :)

Jet Set, here we go!

A list of this month's goodies

Peekaboo!

First item is this box of Band-aids. Super cute, stylish band-aids for those not so cute injuries. Only one problem...I'm allergic to latex band-aids :( but my Mom really likes them!

This is the Pore Minimizing Mask by Masqueology. It has mushroom extract and there are 3 mask sheets. I'm a little scared to try this, but hopefully it works out.

This is Not a Perfume by Juliette has a gun. It's a scent instead of a perfume. Personally, I wasn't into the smell. I thought the smell was too faint, so it didn't do anything for me.

This is Rose Floral Water by Melvita. It's an organic mist that "works as a light toner and mid-day" refresher. The feeling on my face was nice and refreshing, but I really didn't care for the rose floral scent. I am not a big fan of rose scented mists, so that really doesn't make me want to use it on my face.

The last product in this box was Stainiac in Beauty Queen by theBalm cosmetics. It's a duo lip and cheek stain. In the before pic I made only one line. I actually made another line and smeared them both. The line that's more prominent is the line that I had to add a few coats to before I rubbed it. The stain is way too light. It also only stains an area, it doesn't really let you rub it around like other stains. This product didn't impress me either.

All in all, I have to say that I really didn't enjoy this month's box. The only thing that might be ok are the facial masks, but even those I'm on the fence with. So sadly, I'll have to give a big thumbs down to this Jet Set box :/ The theme is adorable, but the products just didn't do it for me. Hopefully next month will be better again! If you haven't watch my latest video, please feel free to watch it here :)

Thank you so much for the support!!! Til next time loves<33

Sally Hansen Salon Effects

Hey loves! Today, the topic is the "Sally Hansen Salon Effects." I wanted to make a special blog post about this complimentary product for review purposes for Influenster. I have been admiring this product for a while, and I was so thankful to have received it for free from Influenster :) In case you don't know, these nail strips are made from real nail polish. They also come off just like nail polish, by using nail polish remover. There's no dry time, it lasts up to 10 days, and there are over 40 different styles to choose from! So let me take you through the easy process in pictures :)
So I told you guys in my last blog post that I received the nail polish strips in 440 Animal Instinct, which is a pink and black zebra print - with a slight hint of shimmer in the pink.
Inside the packaging, there are two packs of nail strips - one for each hand. Then there is a cuticle pusher and a nail file.
It comes with a set on instructions so you'll know exactly what to. You'll want to take the white side of the file and buff out any roughness of the surface of your nails.

Next, you'll want to go over your nails one more time with the nail polish remover. This just makes sure that all of the dirt is removed, so that your manicure can last as long as possible.
Now open on of the packs and spread them apart. I started with my pinky, since it tells you to do your thumbs last. I took the smallest one and I carefully peeled it off and gently broke the end off. Then you'll want to hold it to your nail to see which end fits the shape of your cuticle best.
Gently place the end up to your cuticle and make sure it'll fit your entire nail. If it's not wide enough, gently stretch horizontally until it fits your nail perfectly. If it's too wide, gently stretch the nail vertical and it is the right width. Once you are comfortable with the size, gently smooththe strip over your entire nail. Start from the cuticle and work your way up to the tip of your nail. Make sure it is as smooth as possible. Next, gently rub the strip over the end of your nail so that the nail strip looks bent, because you are getting ready to file the excess off.
Once you have smoothed the tip of your nail completely, take the light pink side of the file and gently file until the strip breaks off. I recommend started from One end, the the other end, and then the middle. That helped my achieve a very clean look. Your nail should look like this after you have filed it off. I then recommend you to smooth your fingers over the end of your nail, just to make sure nothing is poking out.

Repeat these steps to all of your nails. Here is the finished look! I actually add another step, which is totally optional. I took my favorite top coat and applied it over the nail strips. The reason I did this was so add extra security and to seal the borders of the strips onto my nails.

Overall, I am really impressed with this product. This as my first time using it and it came out amazing! My advice is don't rush. Take your time to make sure everything goes smoothly. It really looks like I got my nails professionally done at the salon. Instead, I did it myself! Now I understand what all the fuss is about ;) I will definitely buy more of these strips and try out the different patterns<33

Until next time loves!! MUAH

*UPDATE: This is my 6th day wearing them. There's a tiny bit of wear at the tip of the nail, but it's not even noticeable. I have a tiny chip on one of my nails, but that was because I hit my nail on something really hard on accident ^_^ Other than that, my nails still look the same as these pics!! Phenomenal product<3

UPDATE:

This was my 10th day wearing these nails. As you can see, there was only a little bit of wear on the tip of the nail. I could not believe how long these nail strips lasted!! I'm not sure if added an extra toap coat was what kept these strips on for so long, but they are definitely worth busy. It was also very easy to take them off the with nail polish remover. Hope this review helped you out!!<3

My First Influenster Box!

Hey y'aaaaall! I'm back and this time I'm talking about the coolest program ever!! Influenster is this AWESOME website/program that anyone can sign up for. Various companies send out products to Influenster. In turn, Influenster sends these products to people who they feel are "influential" enough, meaning they are active in social networking communities and love to share their opinions and reviews. When I heard about this, I thought it was too good to be true until I saw videos and blogs of people I know getting boxes from them. So I signed up in March, and the next month I received an email saying that I was able to receive the Spring Beauty VoxBox for May. I was jumping for joy!! When I received my box, I had a total of 7 products in it!! Most of them were full sized! Here are the pictures I took of this freaking awesome box :)

This card had all the details about the contents in the box...well all except for one surprise bonus gift :)
Box full of joy I tell ya!

First item in the box is by Sheer Cover and it's the Duo Concealer. It's perfect because the two shades let you customize and your match the perfect color for you. The color on the right I really liked for my dark under eye circles because I find going a lot lighter makes it look really unnatural on me, and I like the barely noticeable look when it comes to hiding things like that. I thought the concealer was very thin and creamy and went on easily with my finger, inside of being harder and thinker like other popular concealers. I also really love the handy little travel size because this is perfect to just throw in my purse for emergency zombie-looking occasions :)

This is the AVEENO Moisturizing Body Wash. It's soap free, dye-free, and hypoallergenic. I have very sensitive skin, and this didn't irritate it at all. I thought this body wash was very rich and moisturizing and I loved how it felt on my skin.

This is the Lip SHIELD 365 by ChapStick, of course. I was way too excited when I saw this because I definitely have a chapstick obsession. It's pretty much all I wear, except for special occasions. This particular one is meant to be used all year long, for any type of weather. It's also awesome because it has SPF 50+ which I thought was so cray cray! I was surprised that this had a very light lemony smell, kind of like lemon candy. So far I'm loving it. It's very moisturizing and perfect for the crazy dry summer we are having here.

Next thing I got was tooooo cool!! This is by Sally Hansen and it's the Salon Effects nail polish strips. I've been eyeing these nail polish strips for a whiiile now, but I hesitated since they are a bit pricey for just a week's worth of time to use them. I'm excited to try these out though!! This one is a pink and black zebra print with a hint of glitter in the pink.

I love that it comes with a cuticle pusher and a file, so you can use them anywhere right away!!

They also put this cute little pamphlet in the box. It shows the many different styles that they currently have to offer. I really want to try the I Love Lacy one!!

Now I was waaay too excited over this!! This is the Bath & Body Works Fine Fragrance Mist, and it's in the scent Sweet Pea! That happens to be my favorite scent from Bath & Body to this day!! The bottle is a full size at 8oz!! Oh and did I mention this retails for $14??! How lucky was I to get this?! I was in love with this back then, and I'm still in love with Sweet Pea now<3

This yummy little this is the SOYJOY Bar. It's perfect for anyone who has the common food allergies, myself included. I've recently been put on a gluten-free diet, so I was so happy that I could actually eat this! It's all natural and made with whole soy, real fruit, and doesn't contain any trans fats. This flavor was strawberry - which I did enjoy. I found these bars at a local market and I fell in love with the blueberry flavor :) It's the perfect snack on the go that keeps me satisfied so that I don't turn into a bear and eat people :)

This was a surprise bonus product that wasn't on the card, and it's by Dr. Scholl's. It's the Ball of Foot cushions, which were made specifically for women to alleviate the pain we feel when we wear those open toed shoes girl! I love that they're purple :) I also love that they're removable, so I can just transfer these from one pair of shoes to the next. It's the perfect amount of cushion. At the same the same time, it isn't bulky at all.

So there you have it! Those were the items in my box :) Honestly I love all of these!!! I'm so happy that I was given the opportunity to review awesome products for free! So if you haven't signed up, I definitely advise you to go to www.influenster.com to create a free account and earn as many badges as you can by answering simple questions! The more badges you earn, the more you increase your chances of getting a box. It's also fun earning the badges, and I really mean that! If you haven't watched my silly video talking about these products, please feel free to go ahead and watch! Thank you everyone for all the support!!! I really really appreciate it :)
